Okay - I've been really craptastic about posting. So it's not like I don't love you internet, it's just that I'm in school again. So I've been neglecting everyone. It's not you, it's me.
It's finally NOT raining here. It was thunderstorming so nice last night, and as I was obediently taking my timed Microbio quiz I heard a huge "crack" ing noise come from right outside my window and thought, "eh - gunshot" (is that bad? - gunshots don't even register too much on my brain unless they're followed with extreme screaming and police cars). But later as I was making my way to work this morning, I realized a huge tree had lost half of itself and deposited a large trunk through a garage and on some cars, hence the cracking noise from last night. And my car - parked not two feet away. I do have some luck at times.
I've got a crazy weekend ahead of me - my BFF Tom is tying the knot on Friday and I'm totally hitting that party with Manders. Should be ridiculous. Then I am immediately getting up at the butt crack of dawn to head back to Chicago to go to class all day. I plan on sleeping immediately when I get home Saturday night. Then it's Sean's bday and bowling league. I plan on sleeping immediately when I get home Sunday night.
What about studying you ask? Well, I'm fully planning on passing out with books on my head this weekend to, you know, learn from osmosis (actually, that's not entirely true - I've been doing some audio learning lately via some podcasts, which are really helpful when you don't have a ton of hospital experience or know a lot of nurses personally).
What about my fantasy football league you ask? Well, I'm not playing Kevin McCardell again this week, that's for sure. And Deion Branch - please just shut it and starting playing for the Seahawks like the Superbowl MVP that we know you are. I can't take the trash talk if I lose this week. Plus you were like my 2nd pick of the draft, please act like it (did you ever guess I would end up on a FF league? I sure didn't especially siince I'm not a huge football fan or anything).
Also, what about the students who got caught cheating on our first A&P II quiz in COMMUNITY COLLEGE this week? NOTHING, apparently, even when you sign a contract with the school acknowledging that you know what happens when you cheat in class (immediate expulsion). I guess they were just playing around with that academic honesty/contract thing when spent 20 minutes on it the first day of school.
In other news, The Illusionist is an amazing movie. I needed a reason to start liking Edward Norton again, and he gave it to me. Also, I needed a reason not to irrationally keep on hating Jessica Biel (I still do even though she wasn't that bad). Even if there was some movie I wanted to see, I really couldn't, so it's a good thing there's a lot of crap coming out. I finally don't feel like I'm missing anything on that front for once.
